It has been an honor and privilege to help 100’s of students succeed on their USMLE exams through my tutoring services over the past 3 years. Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to provide real-time tutoring services given the constraints of residency training. Nonetheless, in line with my overall goal of providing affordable and high-quality medical education services, I will be transitioning to an offline model. The two primary services that I will provide are (1) High-yield study guides and (2) Personalized study schedules:
1. Study guides: One of my tutoring goals has consistently been to impart my study philosophy while also addressing common questions and correcting misconceptions. Leaning upon my 3 year experience, I have created documents for each of the major USMLE exams (Step 1, Step 2, Shelf exams, Step 3) addressing my study philosophy, test-taking strategy, and approach to maximizing Anki and other resources. Furthermore, I address all the FAQs that I have consistently heard from my students. Overall, these study guides contain >10 pages of high-yield information that has enabled me and many of my students to achieve success on our NBME exams.
2. Personalized study schedules: During my real-time tutoring sessions I would typically use the first one-hour session to gather information from my student in order to create an efficient, personalized study schedule that would meet their needs while balancing their other life responsibilities. In order to simulate this experience in an offline model, I have created question forms that will enable me to obtain all of this information virtually so that I can continue creating unique, high-yield study schedules. Obviously real-time, interactive tutoring services are superior to an offline model. However, I genuinely believe that through these services I will be able to continue pushing forward my mission of providing high-quality, accessible medical education services.
